Dear Brothers and Sisters, 
 
I am here to introduce Dr. Adi. I have been her student for the last 1.5 months. Dr. Adi has experience in practicing Yoga over 25 years and is certified in Patanjali hata yoga, pranayama breathing techniques, Pranic Healing, Vipassana & Samadhi Meditation.  
 
Due to a personal life emergency I used to be unable to sleep well and have ended up in the emergency twice for high blood pressure. I went to a renowned cardiologist and he put me on medication after listening to my health issues for 15 minutes and asked me to come back in 3 months.  
 
I was very dissatisfied with the “fix it with a pill” approach. I feel I am too young to be on a pill for the rest of my life. After I read about Dr. Adi, I decided to try therapeutic yoga. In some ways  therapeutic yoga is similar to the yoga we all hear about in everyday life, but the value added that Dr. Adi brings is that she listens to each one’s problem and decides a custom set of asanas. Dr. Adi’s unique background of being a physician and a certified yoga physician is the perfect combination for eliminating the health issues and also having a healthy life going forward. 
 
Yoga is way of living life which includes a proper balanced diet, and performing asanas to keep the physical, emotional and spiritual self in harmony. With Dr. Adi I have been able to remedy a lot of my diet issues, overall low energy problems and lately hypertension. I have reduced my hypertension medication to half the dosage and if things look good, will get completely off it. I have also as a minor positive side effect lost 5 pounds in the last one month. One word of caution is that since yoga is a permanent change for the better, one has to be patient. From a scientific perspective I feel modern medicine in many ways only fixes the “hardware” issues in our body. Yoga take a step back and tries to fix the “software” (conscious/sub-conscious mind) while at the same time fixing the existing hardware issues. Therapeutic yoga is a more holistic approach for health issues.  
 
To sum it up, even though in our work life we try to fix things for the short term, but where health is concerned, shouldn’t we try and fix it for GOOD?
